Helmet diving is a unique, easy, safe, and exciting way to discover the underwater world in St Maarten. All you need to do is walk and breathe. The tour takes approximately 2.5 hours. It’s a 15-minute boat ride to Boat ride to the location. On the Sea platform, you will receive a full safety/information briefing. There is safe dry storage for your belongings.

While you are underwater, the air pressure inside the helmet keeps the water at around shoulder height. You can wear prescription glasses and your hair stays dry. Assisted by a safety diver, you go down a ladder to reach our concrete track on the ocean floor, 20 ft down.

The underwater time is approximately 25-30 minutes. There are several safety divers with you underwater at all times. After the trek, you climb up the same ladder. You will have some time to snorkel/swim if you want- gear is included. The boat has plenty of shade as well as sun. You will need underwater shoes – we provide them for free or you can bring your own.

On your underwater tour, you will experience our beautiful marine park. There is a sunken submarine, helicopter, plane, canons from Fort Amsterdam, and more. All are Fish Condos now. King Neptune will greet you as you start. Hundreds of colorful reef fish will accompany us too!! You can bring a camera for your use and we will be taking photos of you and your group.

More Information:

-You can view photos taken of you after the tour.
-Photos are available for sale on a USB drive.
-Must be at least 8 years old to participate
-Should be able to walk and climb a ladder
-Should be in good overall physical condition
-There is no swimming involved (If you can swim this is open for you)

The tour is NOT recommended for those with the following situation:

- Guest with physical disabilities
- A pacemaker
- Claustrophobia
- Women over 3 months pregnant
- Persons who suffer from Epilepsy, heart problems, or severe asthma.

Good to Know:

-Schedules vary by the week and subject to weather conditions.
-Cancellation due to weather- is a full refund
-If you do not shop up without 24-hour notice, it is a 25% no-show fee.
-You will be asked to read the waiver complete/answer honestly, and ask necessary questions before the tour.
